What is Instant Runoff Voting?
Instant Runoff Voting (IRV) is a small but dramatic change in the voting process, where a voter ranks their preference for candidates instead of simply punching a chad or filling in a bubble. This way the spoiler effect is eliminated and the most favored candidate wins in one election. To see how this works go to: http://www.instantrunoff.com/irv.html
The Nebraska Green Party is in favor of making this change because it allows voters to express what they truly feel. It benefits the Democratic, Republican and Libertarian Parties because it reduces the spoiler effect and prevents votes from going to "the lesser of two evils..."
